Hi, my name is Ms. MacBlane and this is my fourth year at Bethel Manor. Although Hampton Roads has been my home for the past 9 years, I spent my early childhood in San Diego, CA and my teen years in Colorado Springs, CO. I attended college at William and Mary and will forever be a Tribe Football fan! I love to travel. In fact, in 2004 I spent six weeks backpacking through Ireland, Scotland, and Spain. In my spare time, I love to participate in any type of outdoor activity, although I have absolutely NO athletic ability. Scrapbooking and reading the latest Danielle Steel or Nicolas Spark’s novels have also become a favorite pastime. My teaching goal is to encourage and motivate your child to do his or her personal best and instill an excitement and enthusiasm for life-long learning. I am proud to be a part of your child’s education.

This year, I will be teaching your child math, reading, and writing. We switch classes with Mr. Young, who will teach Science and Social Studies. This is going to be a great year in 5^th grade and I look forward to working with parents and students.
