Meet our principal
Dr. Catherine Jones

Dr. Catherine Jones was the principal of the York High School Falcons. Starting July 1, 2004, however, she became the new instructional leader for Bruton.

Dr. Jones holds four degrees, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, Education Specialist, and Doctorate. Teaching has always been her first love. As a child her favorite game was playing school. She has taught English, Special Education, and Social Studies in Virginia , Florida , New Mexico , Okinawa , and Germany . After teaching for many years, she decided to move into administration. Her first assistant principal assignment was at Tabb High School . She stayed there for a year and moved to York High School where she later became the principal. We are proud to say Dr. Jones is now part of the extraordinary staff at Bruton High School.
