Mr. Butler
Mr. Butler is a native of Conway
, South Carolina and attended Clemson
University where
he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science and
Economic Education. He holds a Master of Education in Administration
and Supervision from the College
of William and Mary.
Currently he is a doctoral student in the curriculum leadership program
at William and Mary. He is a fellow with the Eastern Virginia Writing
Project and the Teaching American History Project.
Mr. Butler has been with York County Public
Schools for two years. Before becoming an assistant principal at Bruton
High School ,
Mr. Butler taught World History, World Geography, and Advanced
Placement Human Geography.
Mrs. Corlett
Mrs. Corlett
is originally from California,
but has lived in Williamsburg
since
1998. Since that time, she has taught at Yorktown
Middle
School
for seven years—six as a math teacher and one as a special
education
teacher. She has been a part of the Bruton
High School Administration since 2005 as an Assessment and Compliance
Coordinator before becoming Assistant Principal.
She
received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Teacher
Certification from Gonzaga University
in Spokane, Washington
in 1994. Three years later, she completed
a Masters
Degree in Special Education at Northwestern
State University
in Louisiana. She
completed her Administration
and Supervision Endorsement K-12 at the College
of William Mary.
Ms. Swan
This is Ms. Swann’s first year
at Bruton High
School. Prior to her position
as ACC, she worked as an eighth grade English teacher in Williamsburg
James City
County.
She did her undergraduate work at The College of William & Mary,
majoring
in English and receiving an endorsement in Secondary English Education.
Ms.
Swann recently finished graduate school at William & Mary,
mastering in
Educational Policy, Planning and Leadership. She is very excited to be
a Bruton
Panther and employed with YCSD!
