After a successful year of operation, the York County Virtual High School
is open for enrollment for original credit for summer school. This is the
only location in the school division that high school students can receive
original credit.
The York County School Division is accepting student enrollment from other
public school divisions in Virginia for the 2003-2004 School year. Students
will have the opportunity to enroll in courses leading to a standard diploma
The YCSD Virtual High School offers high school courses for homebound
and alternative education students working toward a standard diploma.
Statewide, 29 percent of high schools have virtual learning.
The York County School Division is expanding on-line courses for the 2003-2004
school year to offer courses for elementary and middle school studnets.
Faculty of the York County School Division are now able to participate
in staff development through virtual programs.
